Ayesha Genova: The Remington speedmaster 552 is a tube magazine fed .22 semi auto. They don't take removable magazines. You must have a different model number. They never came any other way.
Wilfredo Muldoon: Here is every part available for the M552. No magazine clip is listed, but a magazine tube is. Study the schematic carefully, and if you indeed have a 552, the part will be there.http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?...
Maye Delk: With all due respect to "thinkingblade" and "karle," you're both a bit off, at least according to my valuation guide. In the 2012 edition of the Gun Trader's Guide, the Model 552BDL is the ONLY model currently offered. In addition to that, the Model 552A is the ONLY model chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, and it is currently valued at around $107 in good condition (i.e. NRA 68%), $184 in excellent condition (NRA 95%), and only $275 in unfired, "new in box" condition. If you had a BDL, it would be worth ! $259, $326, and $475, respectively. If you somehow have the Model 552GS, which was a "gallery" gun that was chambered only for .22 Short, add about $50-$75 to the value of the gun over the values quoted on the 552A. I have no idea about what the markings mean. You'd need to contact Remington for that, I'd think. Based on your description of the gun's condition, I would expect it to be slightly below "excellent" condition. Those four scratches in the butt are probably going to lower its value a fair bit, regardless of whether it was barely used....Show more
