answers 0:I have a sort of light medium brown color at the base of my very front two bottom teeth (the small ones...not sure what they're called). None of my other teeth have this, and my gum doesn't appear to be swollen or having any issues there. Also, the teeth appear to be quite solid in place...So what could it be? I do know that it has been there for a long time. I have absolutely no insurance at all right now, so the "just go to a dentist" answers are of no help whatsoever. I'd rather that people not answer at all if they're going to say something like that. I'm simply asking for suggestions of what it could be. I do not drink coffee at all. I drink juices, sodas occasionally, and lots of water. In this diagram, they are both apparently called the central incisor. http://dentalimplants-usa.com/Generalinfo/mouthtee......Show moreanswers 1:If you do not! brush your teeth... It may be gum disease...answers 2:Your dog has tartar build up and gum disease. Take him to the vet ASAP for a cleaning. He may need some extractions by this point, too. Don't put it off, it will only get worse, and he is probably suffering. DO NOT feed you dog bones, especially chicken bones! Chicken bones can choke him, or splinter and puncture his intestines. Raw bones can give him Salmonella, too, just like with people. Since dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years, they have become accustomed to eating softer foods, and their teeth aren't as hard as their ancestor's were. Giving a domestic dog bones can cause his teeth to splinter before the bone does! Give him Nyla bones, Denta bones, or whatever your vet recommends, AFTER you get his teeth cleaned. Sorry, but there is no alternative to a professional veterinary cleaning now. Please, do it promptly. Your dog is bound to be suffering....answers 3:You may not want to have someone say that! you need to see a dentist, but that is exactly what you need ! to do. What you describe is called root decay and can be much worse under the gum tissue than what you are seeing on your teeth. I suggest seeing your dentist soon because the longer you wait, the more it will cost you. It is important that you put your health first. Find a way to afford it. See if you can make payments to the dentist or cut out something that is non essential in your life. (Starbucks in the morning, fast food for lunch, pizza for dinner. There are many ways to cut costs.) You wouldn't put off going to the medical doctor if you saw something eating away at your flesh. That is what is happening to your teeth. And until it is removed and replaced, it will continue to eat away at healthy tooth structure until there is nothing left.EDIT: even if you brush regularly, you can still develop this type of decay. It often comes from a diet that is high in fruits. Also from not brushing properly at the gumline....answers 4:I would say it is either some staining or po! ssibly decay. I know you don't want to hear it, but going to the dentist and having a cleaning, exam and x-rays is the best thing you can do. Take care of a problem while it is small and save yourself physical and financial woes later. It saddens me that a dentist seems so unobtainable to so many people.Good luck friend.answers 5:I brush my teeth, by the way...answers 6:It might be a cavity, and the only way to fix is so the dentist will fill it up with some sort of liquid.
