Lawanna Livsey: Most people provide name, address and phone number for references as well as how you know the person. Who you use is somewhat dependent on the job. (Some jobs are more impressed by some references then others.) In general, you would want to give a work reference, for certain, someone whom you have worked for in the past. Some people do only this as they see it as the only references that people value. I would disagree. In your case, I would do a work reference (your old boss), and your two friends.
