Soraya Coodey: Wait, are you in the Air Force or not? Your handle suggests that you are. If you are, I hope I never come across you; those very few Airmen who whine about deployments are what make the rest of us who volunteer for deployments and TDYs look bad. On the other hand, I can't imagine someone in the AF asking this question, so I'll assume that you're not. If you are asking this question you have absolutely no business joining the military. Please do not join the AF if you do not want to deploy, as we have no use for a self-centered individual like that. The user above me said that a mechanic working on the B-2 would deploy the least. Although that it is true that working on the B-2 would probably only get you to easy TDYs to Guam, his information is a bit skewed, and I'll explain why: The maintainers who specialize in radar absorbent material belong to the 2a7x3 career field - Aircraft Structural Maintenance. I know this because I am currently an active duty Airm! an assigned to this career field. I do not work on any stealth planes personally, but I have the training necessary to go to Whiteman AFB and work on it if I so desire. My skills are highly marketable to the outside world as well, as I can work on literally any airframe anywhere and make good money doing it....Show more
Conrad Puleio: Probably a mechanic who specializes in the radar absorbing material on the B2 bomber. Since all the bombers are at one base, that would be the base you would stay at. If they deploy a few of the bomber so a place like Guam it is only temporary so if you went, it would be temporary also. Of course, you would have NO marketable skills to use in the civilian world when you get out, but you would be relatively "safe" while you were in. (Sounds like a "chicken" question if you ask me.)...Show more
Clemmie Burkleo: When you are in the military you can be sent anywhere at any time. You should know that.
