Abel Adger: Reagonomics worked, but diluted by Clinton and Bush to what we have now, mergers with banks to make large ones, mergers with overseas Companies, jobs sent overseas without penalties, manufacturing from other Countries for the cheap labor, trade deficiepts, and outsourcing. The Companies that bring in a million and a half foriegners a year that have "special skills" but make on an average of 20,000 a year less than their American counterparts, thats what is tearing our country apart....Show more
Kate Baune: The cold war was created by him. The cold war was a farce it was hype to sell movies in the 80's Like "Red Dawn", "War Games", and "Moscow on the Hudson". The cold war was a joke, and it didn't even make my nipples hard.
Serita Hefferon: The failure of your arguement is that a lot has happened between Reagan and today. While Reaganomics was a good idea, it has not been carried through to today. Go back to blaming Bush, even Conservatives will agr! ee with you.
Hunter Osterberger: The problem with the term 'Reaganomics' is that there was what Reagan SAID and then there was what his administration DID.I think the managed trade agreements like NAFTA that reserve all benefits of trade to the multinational corporate and collectivist interests and shut individuals and small businesses out of all benefit is the biggest reason, though. That and systematic special interest cronyinsm on the Hill by BOTH parties....Show more
Lizzette Wendroth: It was Reagan's laissez-faire attitude towards the corporations that allowed them to become the tyrannical monsters that they are today.
Maurice Breuning: What?In the 70s and early 80s thing were worse than they are now by far.
Long Woltjer: Up until W took office, the Small Business Adminstration offered a lot of services to businesspeople. He gutted it. Hopefully Obama can fix that. â °)
Jarrod Darnall: Actually blame should be placed with it's originator.! Reagan wasn't some wonderful savior of the free world as so m! any claim. Perhaps though in all reality we should stop worrying about who is responsible. Perhaps we should feel that as Americans we are all responsible. I am trying to see things this way, and I am trying to discover ways to achieve the "American Dream" while at the same time sharing it. Because to me the true American dream is to be free and able to live and love amongst your neighbor. We should not be quarreling over religions, and politics. We should be thinking of ways that will bring ourselves into a better position. We should also always be considering how best we can help others truly achieve the dream....Show more
Lupe Sancen: I pay taxes I don't get any hand outs I make too little for the big juicy ones, and I make too much for the meager ones that turn you into a pariah.
Stephnie Patout: Lets look at Reagan's previous occupation. Reagan was an actor he craved drama; therefore he created the cold war to revolve himself in an ongoing drama. Bush Sr. w! as the head of the CIA, and he acted as such during his presidency with the way he went for Saddam. Clinton was a liar and a woman chaser, and that is pretty much how ran his administration like a small time building and loan. Then we get to Bush Jr. He ran the country like he did most of his businesses. He ran our country right into the ground just like most of his other ventures....Show more
Forest Duttinger: Yes and no. The truly small businesses have been pushed aside and stomped on by the corporations. But the federal government considers any company that employs less than 500 people as a small business. It is these extra large small businesses that get the majority of the federal contracts set aside for small businesses and these are the companies that the republicans are really talking about when they say they want to give small businesses a tax cut....Show more
