Renting a car to an 18 year old?

Lissette Semon: sorry you are too young. also you have to have a credit card on it, the age is 23 or 25..i believe.

Joie Libutti: If the city you'd be vacationing to has an E-Z employ-A-motor vehicle, then attempt that. In Texas, they employ to all and dissimilar above 18, see you later as you've a significant mastercard. that is better extreme priced because they charge a regularly happening value, in spite of the undeniable fact that that is an determination.

Carmina Stickney: here are the requirements from National Car Rental's website. Most other companies require the same.Below are National's policies on age requirements:The primary renter of the vehicle must be 21 years of age (higher or lower at some locations). Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility requirements as the Primary driver All drivers must show a valid driver's license at time of rental. A standard additional daily fee of $25.00 may apply in most locations (except in New York, the! fee is up to $70.82) for all drivers who do not meet the age requirements. Certain specialty and larger sized vehicles may not be rented to younger drivers. Some locations maintain maximum age limits. National reserves the right to refuse rental of a vehicle if the renter demonstrates inability to handle road rules and conditions. 18 years of age is the minimum for military or government personnel traveling on official orders under government rates. Government or military leisure travel though is 21 years old, and rate may be higher for under age 25. (U.S. only) New York state: The minimum age for NY is 18 years, subject to a per day surcharge.Montgomery, AL: Does not permit renters under age 25Michigan: The minimum age for MI is 18 years of age. A $45.00 per day fee applies to 18-20 under age renters or $25.00 for renters 21-24.Most companies require a major credit card or debit card in the renter's name....Show more

Jinny Dronen: If the city you'll be travelling to! has an E-Z Rent-A-Car, then try that. In Texas, they rent to ! everyone above 18, as long as you have a major credit card. It's more expensive because they charge a daily fee, but it's an option.

Dawn Saha: sorry but they are not going to rent to an 18 year old. maybe you can use your friends car when you get there by flying?

Mitchel Demry: Rental car agencies will not rent to anybody under the age of 21 and most of them won't rent to anybody under 25.

Benny Stehno: Plenty of great answers already for this
