Derrick Kloke: the quick and easy way is to google the name - or contact your state's department of Incorporation and see if the desired name has been registered in your state - corporations start at the state level, not the Fed, although if a corporation TRADEMARKS (federal) their name, then it can't be used by another business in ANY state
