how do i make a board game based on the holocaust?

Karl Samiec: A board game? Isn't that a little bizarre? Make railroad tracks with a train and each roll of the dice brings the train closer to the concentration camp. Or have people escape through the woods with each roll of the dice.Night depicts Wiesel's internment in the concentration camp..very hard to make a board game out of that.I, myself would have a hard time following the teacher's assignment..it's a horrible time in history..not something you would make a board game out of....Show more

Jose Calaycay: Call it SURVING THE HOLOCAUST and have players navigate their way through the time period and who ever gets there first wins.

Sylvie Snetting: That's awesome! Make a Dungeons and Dragons style RPG out of it.

Randolph Lozoya: I think you should tell your teacher that you asked for a good idea, or some advice but I think you should tell her the there is nothing fun or funny about the holocaust and it shouldn't be made into a game, because it wasn'! t a game but a very horrible time with lots of dead innocent people. If she has to see it to believe it then show this answer to her.

Forest Duttinger: I think there would be very strong feelings against your making such a game, as you have already seen from some of the answers you have received here. Instead of a board game, which is something people do for fun, why not design a set of questions to test your classmate's understanding of the issues surrounding the Holocaust and their understanding of the novel. It would still be somewhat like a board game, but not with winners and losers, not a game context. Or you could arrange a debate about the novel, and what it represents. If you do have to pursue the board game idea, make it one of respect and a learning process, possibly strictly a question and answer sort of thing, and a sensitization process for those who use it, rather than simply a game. Here are a few sites about making board games. They may be of som! e help to you.http://blogs.msdn.com/templates/archive/2008/03/! 13...http://www.ehow.com/how_2046016_make-board-game.ht...http://www.ehow.com/how_2130459_own-board-game-pro...http://www.sloperama.com/advice/lesson20.html...Show more

Elli Esaw: Just have to say such is just a bad idea. The holocaust and trying to make a board game of it. That time in history. You just can't make it into a game, since it's not. Tragedy and making it a game equal a bad idea.

Barton Sease: Excuse me? First of all, do you have no respect? An effing Board Game? People died, which I'm sure you would have gathered. Can't you do something less offensive and belittiling to my people? Like, a paper or something?

Simona Bulwinkle: i am going to objective to circumvent my thoughts and get to the point. that is a nasty theory. there is not any way round it. The holocaust isn't 'exciting', this is not any longer something 'relaxing'. Anne Frank's diary shouldn't also be examine (how could you want it in case your own diary develop into examine throu! gh tens of millions of human beings when you DIE), a lot less sugar lined. further so, there is not any relaxing thanks to make a board recreation round a tragedy. the point of Anne Frank is she 'lost'- she develop into captured and died; accordingly, no you'll 'win' a recreation about Anne Frank. Please, once you've any appreciate for decency, do a diverse mission....Show more
